We are currently seeking an experienced Psychologist or Psychological Associate to provide a combination of assessment and intervention services in Barrie and/or Muskoka. The balance between assessment and therapy is flexible, and we welcome applications from exceptional candidates interested in primarily assessment work, primarily intervention work, or a combination of both.

The successful candidate will have experience providing comprehensive assessment and diagnosis for children and adolescents with cognitive, learning, developmental, social-emotional, and behavioural challenges. The successful candidate will also have experience providing psychotherapy for a range of presenting challenges, using a family-centered approach that actively involves parents and caregivers in supporting intervention goals. Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive psychoeducational and psychological assessments for children and adolescents presenting with cognitive, learning, developmental, social-emotional, and behavioural concerns.

• Formulate diagnoses and provide clear, practical recommendations to support children, families, and schools.

• Provide psychotherapy services to children and adolescents experiencing concerns such as anxiety, low mood, emotional regulation difficulties, low self-esteem, and social challenges.

• Deliver therapy using a family-centred approach that actively involves parents and caregivers in supporting treatment goals and promoting positive outcomes.

• Use evidence-based therapeutic approaches and adapt interventions to meet the unique needs of each client and family.

• Maintain clinical records and documentation in accordance with CPBAO standards and applicable legislation.

• Collaborate and communicate with families, physicians, educators, and other professionals involved in client care, as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in School, Clinical, or Counselling Psychology.

• Registration with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO) in good standing (autonomous or supervised practice).

• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience conducting psychological assessments and diagnosing conditions such as learning disabilities, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, anxiety disorders, and mood disorders in children and adolescents.

• Valid professional liability insurance.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong organizational, time-management, and report-writing skills.

• Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
